FIRST

FIRST - For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology is an international non-profit organization, which promotes engineering, science and technology amongst kids and teens.

FIRST manages the FRC - FIRST Robotics Competition, FTC - FIRST Tech Challenge, and FLL - FIRST Lego League which all promote the First Ideology.
FIRST seeks to create interest about engineering and science amongst teens and children.

The FIRST Robotics Competition teaches us about what real engineering is really like, not having enough time, money or resources. The Chairman's Award encourages teams to help the community and promote the FIRST Idea.
FIRST teaches how cooperate with team members, and prepares us for the real life.

The FIRST founder is Dean Kamen and his vision is
"To create a world in which Science and Technology are celebrated... In which young people dream of becoming Science and Technology heroes"

Our team translation for FIRST initials:

• Fun is the first and most important thing to motivate a person to keep working.
• Independence, through working day and night on this project we build our independent lives.
• Responsibility, by receiving a short amount of time and a lot to do we learn the true meaning of the word.
